three areas I’m deeply mindful of

In my life & with my art

1

Cultural background & heritage

Even though I sound very British, my background is a mix of cultures. My mum’s side is originally from Zimbabwe and later South Africa (where I went to school for a short while), and my dad’s side is English -  so it really does feel like two different worlds. I’ll never say no to a pack of Simba crisps… I mean chips. Mantas is Lithuanian, and we attend a Lithuanian church together, which has become such a special part of our lives. Being around Lithuanian culture so often — alongside my own heritage — has shaped the way I see and appreciate different cultures, even if I sometimes have to remind myself which one is officially mine.

2

Neurodiversity & disability awareness

I have a neurodivergent mind and was diagnosed with autism at 20, and I quietly navigate a few physical health challenges too. Those experiences have shaped how I move through the world and deepened my empathy for others, especially when things feel overwhelming — like a photoshoot or wedding day can sometimes be. I work in a calm, patient, low-pressure way, giving clear guidance while also making space when it’s needed. I’m always happy to pause, adjust, or take a breather — there’s never any expectation to perform. Creating an atmosphere where people feel safe, supported, and genuinely at ease is something I care about deeply.

3

Family dynamics & relationships

Every family carries its own story, and I approach each wedding with genuine care and sensitivity. Growing up with separated parents meant I experienced life a little differently - double Christmases, lots of love, and a family dynamic that didn’t always look like everyone else’s — which helped me understand just how unique and personal family relationships can be. Through my own marriage and being part of church life, that perspective has only deepened. Whether a family is big or small, quiet or full of energy, I aim to create a warm, respectful space where everyone feels comfortable and included.
